AIPIMoto — Your AIPI, Now With a Body

#

AIPI is the AI brain. AIPIMoto is how that brain starts moving in the physical world.
We're opening AIPI's hardware side to makers in stages: starting with the exposed pads on AIPI Lite (UART + GPIO) so you can trigger and read real electronics from your own builds, and growing from there. Over coming updates this may expand to include servo and motor control, sensor access, and event hooks for wake / listening / speaking. Whether you're building a plush companion, an animatronic, or your own robot: AIPI is the brain, you build the body. Rolling out gradually, first for makers comfortable with a bit of code and wiring.

Upcoming updates may include:

  • GPIO trigger outputs
  • Servo & motor control
  • Event hooks (wake word, listening, speaking…)
  • Sensor access
  • Hardware expansion interfaces
  • Custom peripherals & accessories

Maker Kit — 3D-Printable Mods & 6-Pad Expansion

#

A free pack for hardware tinkerers. Six exposed pads on the back of AIPI Lite give you power and I/O — VBAT, GND, UART (TX/RX), and two GPIOs (IO40, IO41) — accessible without soldering through a pogo-pin breakout fixture. We're releasing the STL files so you can 3D print the fixture (and other structural mods) on any Bambu Lab printer and start hooking AIPI up to motors, sensors, displays, or whatever you're building.

  • Central Time (CT) — Chicago, Dallas
  • Mountain Time (MT) — Denver, Salt Lake City
  • Pacific Time (PT) — Los Angeles, Seattle

Voice Cloning, Redesigned

#

Preview your cloned voice before you submit, and get results in about an hour instead of a day. The whole flow has been rebuilt around one idea: you should never have to wait to find out if your clone sounds right.

Instant preview — hear the clone immediately, re-record if it's not right.
Built-in editing — trim and clean up your recording without leaving the page.
~1 hour review — down from 24 hours.

Stability, Battery & Power Button

#

A firmware update focused on reliability and the little things you touch every day: battery drain, WiFi recovery, and how the power button feels.

Standby battery — up to 30% longer idle time between charges.
WiFi reconnect — automatic recovery after router restarts, no more manual re-pairing.
Faster first conversation — ASR, TTS and the model are now pre-loaded on boot, so there's no wait before your first sentence.
New power button behavior — 3-second long-press to boot or shut down, with LED color feedback (white → yellow on, pink off) to prevent accidental triggers.

Agent Memory Toggle

Character Templates & Cross-Device Sync

#

Two things to make getting started — and living with multiple AIPIs — easier.

Character templates — 20+ ready-to-use starting points (companion, tutor, storyteller, comedian, and more). Pick one, tweak it, and you're done.
Cross-device sync — your characters and voice clones now sync automatically across every AIPI on your account. Set it up once, use it anywhere.

Quieter Wake Word & Better Listening

#

Based on feedback from early customers: fewer false triggers, better conversation detection in noisy rooms.

Quieter wake word — fewer false triggers from background conversation and TV audio.
Better echo cancellation — AIPI no longer hears itself when the speaker is loud.
Improved end-of-speech detection — AIPI waits for you to actually finish instead of interrupting.

Bug Fix

Setup & Stability Fixes

#

The first round of fixes after launch, targeting the issues early customers flagged most often.

WiFi setup — clearer error messages when a password is wrong or the network is 5GHz-only.
Device code — fixed a display bug where the pairing code would occasionally fail to render.
Voice consistency — resolved an issue where agents would occasionally switch voices mid-conversation.
