Bring your characterinto the room.

The novel's hero. The tabletop NPC. The childhood droid on the shelf. Give the world you've built for years a voice, a body, and a memory. Not an app. Not an assistant. A vessel for the character you already love.

More than an app. A presence.

One vessel, five worlds. Each AIPI drops into a life you've already been building, and the character finally speaks back.

How it works

Three steps, and they're in the room.

From an idea to a character at the table. You are not prompt engineering, you are casting a character and handing them a body.

01

Write the character

Define their personality, their voice and their backstory in the dashboard at xdc.aipi.com. That description is the character, and you can rewrite it whenever the story moves.

02

Bind them to the vessel

Link the saved character to your AIPI Lite over WiFi. One vessel can hold whichever character you need tonight, so you can swap them out between sessions.

“Welcome, traveler.”
03

Put them on the table

Set it down and talk. Anyone at the table can speak to the character directly, and the character answers out loud in its own voice.

Why a vessel

Built to hold a character, not to answer questions.

Every assistant is designed to be helpful and interchangeable. This one is designed to stay in character.

They stay themselves

The character does not reset into a polite assistant the moment you look away. They keep the voice, the manner and the refusals you wrote for them, and they carry what matters between conversations rather than starting from nothing each time.

You stay the storyteller

It voices your NPC, your protagonist, your old friend on the shelf. It does not run the story, decide the plot or take the table away from you. It is a companion at the table, not a replacement for the person running it.

Off the phone, on purpose

No screen to fall into, no notifications arriving mid scene, no glare at the table at night. The whole point is that the character lives in the room you are already in, and the phone stays in your pocket.

Your own model, next month

Bring Your Own Model is launching next month, so you will be able to point the vessel at the backend you choose instead of ours. Your character, your model, your rules about what it will and will not discuss.

Before you ask

The questions everyone asks.

Do I have to pay a subscription to use it?
No. Basic mode is free and works out of the box, so the vessel is useful the day it arrives. Paid plans are optional and add things like voice cloning and the larger voice library.
Can I connect my own AI model?
Bring Your Own Model is launching next month. After that you can point the vessel at your own backend instead of ours.
How much does the character actually remember?
It carries what matters between conversations rather than starting cold every time. The memory is deliberately small and focused, so the character stays consistent instead of drifting as it accumulates everything ever said to it.
Can I use my own voice, or a voice I made?
Voice cloning is available on the paid plans, in English and Chinese. You can also generate a new voice from a written description of how it should sound.
Does it need to be online?
Yes. The vessel connects over WiFi, so it needs a network to talk.
Is this a toy for children?
It is built for adult makers, writers and game masters. Parents do use it in family projects, but the character is whatever you write, so an adult should be the one setting it up and deciding what it is.
Something is wrong. How do I reach a person?
Email support and the Discord community. Support is asynchronous rather than live chat, so replies come back by email, and there is a setup guide and a manual linked from every order email.

Ready to give your world a body?
