In AIPI, an AI agent means a ready-made or custom character—not conversation credits or a device limit. Character Description limits measure text length per AI character—not how many AI characters you can create.
What Buyers Say
Common Questions
The things people ask most before their first AIPI: setup, agents, returns, and what runs where.
A physical AI device you can talk to — give it a personality, a voice, and a knowledge base, and it becomes whoever you need it to be. A study partner, a domain expert, a character you've built from scratch. Press the button, talk, release, listen.
In AIPI, an AI agent is simply a character you can talk to—a personality with its own voice, instructions, and optional knowledge. Free includes ready-made agents and lets you create and edit your own. It is not a conversation credit or a device count.
Create and manage your character in your phone or computer’s web browser at xdc.aipi.com—no separate app download needed. Write its personality and backstory, choose its voice, and add your own knowledge.
Once your character is linked to your AIPI Lite, the device connects over Wi-Fi to use it. You can return to XDC anytime to edit your character’s personality, knowledge, or other settings. Save your changes, and they take effect on your next conversation.
Build a specialist: Load your printer manual, compliance checklist, or exam prep into the Knowledge Base — AIPI Lite becomes a voice expert on that topic.
Create a character: Design a personality with its own voice, backstory, and conversation style. Your character remembers your conversations and evolves over time.
Build a collection: Power users run multiple devices, each with a different agent — a personal roster where every AIPI Lite has its own dedicated role.
Unlike an app-only chatbot, AIPI Lite is a physical, voice-first device. You configure the character’s identity, knowledge, voice, and AI model, then talk to it as a standalone object or build it into your own project.
AIPI Lite device, 450mAh battery module, and quick start guide. Free AI agents—with more added over time—Knowledge Base (beta), and memory are included. No subscription needed to start.
No. Free includes AI agents, GPT-4.1, a 5,000-character description, Knowledge Base (beta), and memory. Pro is $9.99/mo or $7.99/mo with auto-renew; Ultra is $15.99/mo or $13.99/mo with auto-renew. Both auto-renew options save $2/mo and can be canceled anytime. Ultra Lifetime is $199 one-time.
Lifetime access is tied to your account, not a specific device. You get continuous access to all voice services as long as our service is active, with up to 10 devices on one account.
If you cancel Pro and drop to Free: Voice clone data is deleted and agents with cloned voices revert to the default voice. Your agents themselves are never deleted. MCP is free for all users — it's not affected by subscription changes.
Yes. Upload PDFs, manuals, menus, or product specs (up to 8MB per file) straight into your agent's Knowledge Base, or paste plain text (up to 5K characters on Free, 20K on Ultra). The system intelligently compresses your uploaded files into the agent's context, so every answer stays scoped to YOUR knowledge, not the open internet. Check our changelog for updates.
A 450mAh battery module is included with every purchase. Snap it on for portable, cord-free use. You can also use AIPI plugged in via USB-C (cable not included) for unlimited desk use.
Yes, AIPI Lite connects to cloud AI models via WiFi. Setup takes about 60 seconds.
AIPI Lite is equipped with Bluetooth® 5 (LE) hardware. However, Bluetooth is not currently enabled for user-facing features.
We may enable additional features through future updates. Any new functionality will be announced officially.
Yes. AIPI Lite supports real-time queries including weather, time, and more via MCP integrations.
A Character Description defines who your AI character is—its personality, role, tone, background, behavior rules, and speaking style.
The 5,000 or 20,000 limit refers to the number of text characters—including letters, spaces, and punctuation—allowed in each AI character's description. It does not limit how many AI characters you can create or how many conversations you can have.
A longer description gives you more room for backstory, behavior instructions, world lore, and examples.
AIPI does not check them in a fixed order. It first identifies your intent, then selects the best source:
When appropriate, AIPI uses the selected information while maintaining the character’s defined personality.
It takes under 3 minutes. Long-press the right button for 5 seconds, double-tap to get your Device Code, then enter it at xdc.aipi.com to bind your agent. Full walkthrough: Setup Guide
No — AIPI Lite requires a password-protected (WPA2) WiFi network. Open/unsecured public networks are not supported. This is a common limitation across IoT devices. Workaround: use your phone's mobile hotspot to get connected anywhere.
The AI Memory field (up to 2,000 characters) stores context the AI references every conversation — like your name, preferences, or key facts. Memory is optional — you can turn it on or off per agent (some agents don't need it). For detailed knowledge (manuals, guides, expertise), use the Knowledge Base field (5K chars on Free/Pro, 20K on Ultra or Ultra Lifetime).
Yes — Character Description, Knowledge Base, Model Selection, and all other settings are fully editable at any time on xdc.aipi.com. Changes take effect on your next conversation.
Each device runs one agent at a time by design. To switch, go to xdc.aipi.com → Device Management → unbind the current agent, then rebind a new one. Your account can hold up to 5 devices(free tier).
No. AIPI Lite works on the Free plan—voice conversation, AI agents, multiple AI models, and Knowledge Base support are included. Pro is $9.99/month or $7.99/month with auto-renew; Ultra is $15.99/month or $13.99/month with auto-renew. Ultra Lifetime is $199 one-time.
Yes. Your AIPI Lite keeps working at the Free tier — basic conversation, your AI agents, and the device itself all stay intact. You're never locked out for not paying.
Auto-renew is optional for Pro and Ultra. Choose continuous subscription to save $2 each month—Pro becomes $7.99/mo and Ultra becomes $13.99/mo—and cancel anytime in your account. You can still choose the regular one-month option at $9.99 or $15.99 without auto-renew.
They stay. Personality, knowledge base, character description, conversation history — all preserved on the Free tier. The only thing that changes is voice cloning becomes unavailable (presets still work).
Yes — for custom knowledge base sizes, bulk device deployments, or branded configurations, visit our wholesale page to submit your requirements.
30-day unconditional return and exchange. No questions asked.
AIPI Lite isn't a children's toy. It has small parts and a snap-on battery module, so we recommend adult supervision for younger users.
